New York Skincare Haul
I recently went to New York on holiday and I was very excited to go to Sephora, Ulta and CVS to pick up skincare that isn't readily available in the UK. I have listed below what I bought and why in case you are heading to the US and need some shopping inspiration!
Cerave PM Facial Moisturising Lotion
I have heard people raving about this, particularly dermatologists, so I was really keen to pick it up. A small range of the Cerave products are now available in Boots in the UK so I'm praying the PM lotion comes soon because I absolutely love it. It is fragrance free, packed with hyaluronic acid, ceramides and niacinamide. It worked out to be around £12, completely worth it.
Belif Moisturising Bomb
I saw Stephanie Nicole talking on YouTube about how this is her favourite moisturiser and I really trust her opinion so I picked up the smaller size to try. I've only used it a couple of times but so far so good, very moisturising.
This 0.1% adapalene gel is typically given to acne patients by doctors in the UK but it is now available to buy in drugstores in the US. It is a topical retinoid so I wanted to use it as a step up from my over the counter retinols. I will be doing a full review of this when I have used it for a couple of months.
Australian Gold Botanical Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50
I only use mineral sunscreens rather than chemical and good ones can be tricky to find! I had heard good things about this one and having used it for over a week, I couldn't recommend it enough. It is available from australiangold.co.uk but it is half the price in the US if you can pick it up there.
Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte SPF 30
I had also heard that this mineral sunscreen was good and I do really like it. It is more shiny on application than the Australian Gold but it still looks great under makeup or if you wanted to wear it on its own you could lightly powder it down. I will use this one on the more cloudy days as it has less protection than the Australian Gold.
Clinique Moisture Surge Concentrate
This was a bit of an impulse purchase when I was in the airport on the way home! Clinique products worked out much cheaper than in the UK and I was looking for a hydrating serum to compare to the Superdrug one that I love. The texture of this serum is perfect and it is very hydrating, would definitely recommend.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask
This product is all over Instagram so I was intrigued to try it. I have very sensitive skin around my lips so I was cautious with this but it has been brilliant so far. It smells delicious and makes my lips super soft.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask
Another Instagram skincare sensation, the packaging really is gorgeous. I have only used this once so far but I do think my skin looked clear and plump the next morning so I'm looking forward to using it more.
COOLA SPF lip balm in Tan Line
As well as sensitive skin around my lips, I also have melasma on my lips (I think from my contraceptive pill). I have to use SPF on my lips everyday or I get dark patches around the edges of my lips. I had been looking for a good tinted lip balm with SPF and I spotted this one in Ulta. It smells lovely and I like the nude tint it gives to the lips. I wish I'd picked up other colours!
Glossier Body Hero
We can get Glossier online in the UK but I really wanted to see the famous showroom. I am determined to start moisturising my body regularly and this product smells lovely and isn't greasy so wish me luck!
Happy shopping everyone 💕
