Another empties post, I’m flying through products at the moment! This time I have used up the Australian Gold Tinted SPF 50, the Lixir Vitamin C Paste and the Cerave PM moisturiser.
Australian Gold Tinted SPF
I have already included this SPF in my favourite sunscreens post and having used the whole tube, I’m still a fan. It is a mineral only, tinted sunscreen and is fragrance free. It is a thick consistency but blends and sinks in to my skin very nicely. It can make my skin feel on the dry side but as long as I use a good moisturiser underneath it’s fine. I think this SPF would be brilliant on oily skin. I would definitely repurchase.
Lixir Vitamin C Paste
This vitamin C product is designed to be used as a mask in the morning to neutralise oxidised sebum, scavenge free radicals, provide natural sunscreen against UVA and UVB and regulate melanin production. I really enjoy using this product, I massage it on to damp skin and leave it for 5-10 minutes while I’m making breakfast and pottering around, then rinse off and apply moisturiser and SPF. I think of it as a layer of protection like sunscreen so I wouldn’t say I have seen any specific results as such. To see a noticeable difference in brightness and pigmentation I would advise using a stronger L-ascorbic acid product overnight. I would happily use this every morning but as it is quite pricey, I have only used it around two to three times a week. I want to try some other vitamin C products so I won’t be repurchasing this for now.
Cerave PM moisturiser
If you follow me on Instagram, you already know how much I absolutely love this product! I bought it when I was in New York and I knew it was going to be a favourite from the first time I used it. It is packed with niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid and is fragrance free. The texture is light, it sinks right in and is very hydrating. In the UK, this is available but in different packaging. I think I will repurchase this forever!
